The Gilded Fork’s Secret Menu

March 24, 2025

What You Need to Know

Rumors have swirled for years. Whispers between bites of filet mignon. Knowing glances exchanged over crème brûlée. And now—finally—it’s confirmed.

There is a secret menu at The Gilded Fork.

And no, it’s not written in cursive on artisanal parchment or hidden behind a QR code. It’s verbal. It’s veiled. It’s very, very exclusive.

Beatrice Speaks (Barely)

Executive Chef and Culinary High Priestess Beatrice Fairchild reluctantly confirmed the existence of the hidden dining experience this past weekend after being pressed by a particularly persistent member who claimed he “dreamt of a foie gras milkshake and must know if it was real.”

Her response?

“Those who know… already know. And those who ask wrong—well, we simply serve them the chicken.”

Cryptic? Absolutely. But that’s The Gilded Fork for you.

How to Order from the Secret Menu

Members can’t simply ask, “What’s on the secret menu?” That’s grounds for being served grilled tilapia and a side salad with no dressing.

Instead, one must follow a subtle protocol:

  • Fold your linen napkin into a peacock shape.
  • Refer to the chef as “Maestra” when your server approaches.
  • Casually mention “the seventh course” during your drink order, even if there are only five listed.

If executed properly, your server may nod ever so slightly. You will then be given a single word:
“Consideration.”
That’s your signal that the experience has begun.

What’s on It?

What dishes are actually on the secret menu?

No one knows for sure. Those who have dined from it describe dishes such as:

  • Butter-poached hummingbird tongue with elderflower reduction
  • Reverse-seared Wagyu cotton candy
  • A single oyster kissed by a unicorn (possibly metaphorical)

Others simply say:

“It changed me.”

Is It Worth It?

If you have to ask… you’re probably getting the chicken. Again.
