“Chip” Wexley holds the esteemed title of Golf Course Superintendent at Willow Dunes Country Club, though his true skill lies in strategic delegation. A firm believer that great leadership is about letting others do all the actual work, Chip has mastered the art of appearing extremely busy while doing very little himself. He can often be found standing on a fairway with arms crossed, nodding in approval at the diligent efforts of his assistant superintendents—who, truth be told, handle everything from irrigation to bunker maintenance while Chip takes a well-earned break in the shade.
